One person is dead after train crash in Chesterfield County
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is dead after a train crash on Sunday, Aug. 10 in Chesterfield County, according to police.
Chesterfield County Police are investigating a fatal train crash that occurred near the 2900 block of Walmsley Boulevard at 4:16 p.m.
According to police, a train was traveling south and hit a man on the tracks between Walmsley Boulevard and Castlewood Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials added that due to the incident, Walmsley Blvd was temporarily closed between Willesden Road and Caldwell Avenue.
