According to the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP), 125,697 people across Virginia voted early and in person on Friday, Nov. 1 and 8,279 Virginians voted by mail. While the overall amount of early voters is less than what was reported by VPAP during the 2020 election, the highest number of early, in-person voters that came out in one day has increased by 2,322 people. The City of Richmond also saw a large jump in early voters on Nov. 1, with 3,209 people that voted in person and 251 people that voted by mail, according to VPAP. From Oct. 21 to Nov. 1, the amount of early, in-person voters stayed above 5,000 people daily, according to VPAP. For Henrico County, early in-person voting has somewhat steadily increased since the beginning of October, with its highest day also being Nov. 1, seeing 4,084 in-person voters and 495 people voting by mail, according to VPAP.
