Over 700 Dominion Energy customers without power near Richmond’s Scott’s Addition

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- More than 700 Dominion Energy customers located in or near Richmond's Scott's Addition neighborhood are without power Friday morning.

As of around 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, Dominion Energy's outage map reported that 758 customers were without power in and near Richmond's Scott's Addition neighborhood due to "emergency work."

A spokesperson for Dominion Energy said the outage was caused by an animal on the power line.

As of around 11:50 a.m., about 282 customers are without power in the area.

According to Dominion Energy, crews are working on scene and customers in the area can expect power to be restored between 2 and 7 p.m. on Friday.
