Person fighting for life after crash involving golf cart in New Kent
NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person is fighting for their life after a crash involving a golf cart in New Kent County on Thursday.
At around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, the New Kent Sheriff's Office reported that Pinehurst Drive in the Five Lakes subdivision is closed due to a crash involving a vehicle and a golf cart.
As a result of the crash, one person was flown by helicopter to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, Virginia State Police said.
The sheriff's office said residents of the neighborhood who are affected by the road closure and need access to their homes can go to the golf course parking lot, where there will be people on site to help with detouring through an access road.
