Ander Waller (they/them) says there main goal is to uplift and bring about queer and trans diverse community.

Despite some vendors dropping out ahead of the event due to the extreme heat across the Richmond region, Waller still emphasized what this market is all about.

"We are still out here, it's still Pride Month and it's all about bringing community together, supporting local LGBTQ makers," Waller said. "That's what we're all about."

Sarah Schultz (they/them) has been making art for a very long time, but having been creating the art shown at Carytown Pride for five years.

"We're in this climate, we are trying to be vocal and present, and making space for our community and also welcoming everyone in celebration and resistance," they said.
