PHOTOS: Jurassic Quest’s animatronic dinosaurs, interactive exhibitions take over Greater Richmond Convention Center

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond went prehistoric this weekend!

From Friday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 23, the Greater Richmond Convention Center hosted the Jurassic Quest exhibition for families, visitors and dinosaur enthusiasts with over 80 life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs.

The convention featured interactive exhibits, fossil digs, dino rides, live shows and close encounters with baby dinosaurs and expert trainers, organizers said.

"Our focus is the customer and making sure that everything we do, (from) small details to big, large details, it's all about the customers and the customer experience," said Samuel Genung, vice president of operations for Jurassic Quest and Family Quest. "Dinosaur lovers — you're going to come in and this is going to be your playground."
