PHOTOS: Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks showcase

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks showcase took place at the Science Museum of Virginia this weekend, offering people a hands-on experience with several iconic skyscrapers. The LEGO event took place on Saturday, Feb. 1 and featured iconic skyscrapers from North America and Asia as well as 200,000 loose LEGO bricks that participants could use to build their own towers. The exhibition of the LEGO skyscrapers will be on display from now until Aug. 25, and the ticket is included in admission to the museum. For more information, click here. 8News spoke with Missie Dusett, an attendee of the LEGO exhibit, about what she has gained from participating in the event with her children. ''You know, there's always the talk about screen time. This is so much better than screen time because I get to do it with them," Dusett said. "And I grew Up loving Legos. I still get Legos for myself for Christmas. So this is really just kind of my wheelhouse. It's a lot of fun to just build and be creative." The LEGO event took place on Saturday, Feb. 1 and featured iconic skyscrapers from North America and Asia as well as 200,000 loose LEGO bricks that participants could use to build their own towers.

The exhibition of the LEGO skyscrapers will be on display from now until Aug. 25, and the ticket is included in admission to the museum. For more information, click here.
