(WRIC) -- The Henrico County Department of Recreation and Parks will host a grand opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of a new pickleball complex in the western part of the county. According to the department, the event will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a dedication ceremony and a ceremonial "first serve," after which the courts will be open to the public. The complex, located at 4747 Pouncey Tract Road in the Glen Allen area of Henrico, features 12 courts with covered spectator seating. Construction, which is estimated to have cost around $4.4 million, began in late August with a groundbreaking ceremony.
