Shots fired by Chesterfield officers during domestic incident
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County officers exchanged gunfire with a suspect during a domestic incident on Saturday.
Just after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 3500 block of W. Hundred Road for report of a domestic incident involving a weapon.
During the officers' response, shots were fired. No one was struck by this gunfire. The suspect then surrendered to police.
Police did not provide any further details on the circumstances of this incident.

"At this time, this is an active scene, and details are still emerging and this incident remains under investigation," police said.
The area of West Hundred Road between Chester and Old Centralia Road will be closed for an extended period of time.
