Police search for suspect after shots fired during Chesterfield police chase
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield Police are searching for a suspect after shots were fired during a police chase Sunday evening. At 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, the Chesterfield County Police Department began a police chase at the intersection of Chesterwood Road and Cogbill Road. During the chase, police said someone in the vehicle fired shots at officers. No officers or vehicles were hit. According to officials, the suspect's vehicle crashed at the intersection of Route 10 and Chesterfield Meadows. Two people who were inside the vehicle fled. Police said one person was taken into custody and the other is still at large. The suspect at large is described by police as being a Hispanic man between 20 and 25 years or age, standing between 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. Officials said he has an average build and was wearing a red shirt and gray or black pants at the time.
