Prince Edward County approves permit for new rural event center

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a conditional use permit for a new rural event center in Rice.

The new facility is located at 25943 Prince Edward Highway according to a Facebook post from the county. "Red Hill" as it's now known as, spans over 130 acres and community members can host events like weddings, family reunions, business meetings and more.

According to Prince Edward "Red Hill seeks to represent a new opportunity for gatherings and celebrations in Prince Edward—built with community concerns and safety in mind."
