Prince George to host lunch to educate seniors on financial protection
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Prince George Department of Social Services is hosting a lunch for senior citizens to learn how to protect themselves from scams, as well as other financial tips for the senior community.
Prince George is hosting a Senior Lunch & Learn event curated for senior residents to learn how to protect themselves from scams, as well as receive information on the differences between a guardianship, conservatorship and power of attorney. Other topics that will be covered in the luncheon will include cybersecurity and financial exploitation.
The Senior Lunch & Learn event will take place on Wednesday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Luca's Italian Restaurant, located at 6411 Courthouse Road. According to the county, the event is free and lunch will provided.
