Richmond announces ‘partial activation’ of Emergency Operations Center
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond officials have announced that the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been "partially activated" in response to the disruption in water services of the Ginter Park tank that prompted a boil water advisory to be issued for much of the city.
According to officials, the EOC's activation will support "ongoing efforts to manage the situation and ensure public health and safety."
The EOC will facilitate the coordination of resources, effective communication, and the implementation of action plans aimed at quickly addressing potential disruptions or challenges that may occur, according to officials.
Residents are encouraged to visit the city's website, official social media accounts and local media channels to stay up to date on "critical-incident related information," as well as preparedness resources.
