Richmond International Airports took off with 3rd annual Aviation Career Showcase last Friday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Students from Varina and Highland Springs High Schools took to Richmond International Airports for the third annual Aviation Career Showcase.

According to a Facebook post from Henrico County Public Schools, the students learned about several career paths that could be available to them at the Richmond International Airport (RIC).

This included -- a sit in on the governor's plane, the ICON Amphibious Seaplane and sit in on the airport fire engine.

According to Henrico County Public Schools, students also took control of a flight simulator and witnessed a live K-9 detection demonstration.
