Richmond man sentenced after over 20 kilograms of cocaine found during traffic stop
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond man will spend years in prison after, during a traffic stop in Henrico County, law enforcement found over 20 kilograms of cocaine in his car.
On Tuesday, May 13, 37-year-old Sterling Hill, Jr. was sentenced to four years in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Court documents state that, on Sept. 16, 2024, law enforcement conducting mobile traffic enforcement in Henrico witnessed Hill make an improper lane change, then run a stop sign. In response to these violations, authorities pulled Hill over.
A K-9 alerted their K-9 narcotics officer at the scene to the presence of narcotics within Hill's vehicle. Per court documents, officers then found a grocery bag in the rear floorboards and a toolbox in the rear passenger seat that were both filled with cocaine.
