Richmond’s Win Streak continues with 35-24 win over Towson
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The University of Richmond football team won its seventh straight game on Homecoming, beating Towson 35-24 and staying unbeaten in Coastal Athletic Association play. This win gives Richmond its best start in conference play since 2015. Richmond's defense forced four turnovers and recorded seven sacks. Landon Ellis scored two touchdowns, and freshman kicker Sean O'Haire went five-for-five on field goals. Highlights included a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown by Jabril Hayes and three sacks by Jeremiah Grant, bringing his season total to a national-best 11.5. Richmond’s record on Homecoming improves to 51-36-6. They’ll go for an eighth straight win against Campbell on Nov. 7.
