Second suspect charged in connection to deadly Henrico hit-and-run crash

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A second suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Henrico County last month.

On May 19, 20-year-old Samarion Ty'shon Seymour, of Norfolk, turned himself in to Petersburg police. He is the second suspect arrested in connection with a March 22 hit-and-run.

Seymour has been charged with the following:

  • Manslaughter
  • Felony Hit-and-Run
  • Felony Eluding

At 2:12 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, police responded to the intersection of Airport Drive and Audubon Drive for a report of a two-vehicle crash. According to police, officers found a Toyota Yaris and a Cadillac CTS with significant damage.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a woman, who was also in the Toyota, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, Henrico Police and investigators from the New Kent County Sheriff's Office determined that Seymour was the driver of the Cadillac CTS that crashed into the Toyota, killing 29-year-old Luis Fernando Cac Caal of Sandston.

According to police, the woman who was hospitalized has since been released.

Previously, 18-year-old Tony Lamont Roberts, of Hopewell, was identified as a person of interest in this incident and was later arrested by the Hopewell Police Department on March 22.

Seymour's additional charges are pending, according to a press release. Henrico Police are continuing their search for other persons of interest who may have any information about the crash.
