BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Buckingham county on Sunday June 8, until 6:45 p.m.
At 5:18 p.m. the radar indicated a severe thunderstorm was located over Mike near Red House moving Northeast at 25 mph. The storm is producing winds up to 60 mph and quarter sized hail.
Other impacted locations include:
- Appomattox
- Appomattox National Historic Park
- Hat Creek
- Madisonville
- Mike
- Pamplin City
- Red House
Prepare for large hail and damaging winds and deadly ground to cloud lightning. For safety purposes plan to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and away from windows.
