Shenandoah Park to ban open-air fires due to weather

SHENANDOAH, Va. (WRIC) -- Due to high wind gust and low humidity throughout the area, Shenandoah National Park will be banning all park fires from 2 p.m. today March 1 to tomorrow March 2 at 10 a.m.

The ban prohibits all open‐air fires such as:

  • Wood fire
  • Charcoal fire
  • Wood burning camp stoves
  • Charcoal grills
  • Gas
  • Propane cooking stoves
