StormTracker 8: Hot & Humid today; more storms tomorrow

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Drier conditions return today and the warm and humid conditions continue.

There is some patchy fog this morning which will burn off in the next few hours and partly sunny skies to mostly sunny skies will be with us today. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s and it will be humid making it feel like the mid 90s. Late this afternoon and evening we have the small risk of a passing shower or 2, but most of us will stay dry.

Clouds continue to build tonight and overnight lows drop into to near 70. We could see a few showers start to move in, but most of the rain doesn't look to move in until tomorrow during the daytime hours.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be with us throughout the day tomorrow. Some of these storms could bring some strong winds and heavy downpours. Highs will be close to seasonable tomorrow in the low to middle 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday look beautiful with mostly sunny skies and highs near 90°.

We start Friday with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will build as we head towards the afternoon hours. High temperatures will be in the low 90s and it will feel like the upper 90s when you factor in the humidity. Unsettled weather returns Friday evening bringing back the risk of showers and storms.

Looking ahead to Father's Day weekend it does look like we will have scattered showers and storms in the forecast with high temperatures near the middle 80s.
