StormTracker8: Cool & Cloudy Monday; Warming up this Week

Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- We have a very seasonable day ahead. I'd recommend keeping a light jacket on hand for the day today.

Highs today will be in the upper 40s to near 50°. Skies will be cloudy, but we may catch some breaks in the clouds for a bit of sun here or there. Overall, fairly close to "normal" for this time of year.

As of tomorrow, temperatures will be on the rise. Expect above normal temperatures for the rest of the week. Highs for the latter half of the week will be near 60°, 10-15° above average for January! Bust out the t-shirts!

Our next rain chances will be Friday and Saturday. Isolated showers are possible on Friday, but Friday night into Saturday the rain showers will be scattered. This system will drop our temperatures down to the 50s on Sunday, and we could start next week on a cooler note.
