RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- After enjoying well above average conditions on Tuesday and on Wednesday of this work week, we are in for cooler conditions on this Thursday and tomorrow on Friday, details below.

Today’s forecast on Thursday calls for sunny to mostly sunny skies and cooler temperatures, rising into the middle 40s to the upper 40s.

Tonight’s forecast for this upcoming Thursday night calls for mostly clear skies overnight and chilly temperatures, dropping down into the middle 20s to the upper 20s.

Tomorrow’s forecast on Friday calls for sunny skies and cool temperatures, rising into the middle 40s to the upper 40s.

Valentine’s Day, which is Saturday, features increasing clouds, leading to mostly cloudy skies and milder temperatures, rising to 55 to 60 degrees.

Sunday is trending more and more wet, as our next weather system will be sweeping through the region, bringing beneficial rainfall to the state of Virginia all day long, aside from the rainy conditions on Sunday, it will be a cooler day with highs near 45 degrees.

Turning our attention to early next week, Monday is President’s Day and it will be a partly sunny day, with temperatures rising into the lower 50s.

Finally, next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of next work week, all bring mild temperatures and at least partly sunny skies. There is a shower chance in the forecast for next Thursday, but it’s isolated at best right now.
