StormTracker8: Decent weather this weekend

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) -- Cloudy skies will be with us for this evening and the early part of tonight there might be a few passing sprinkles. During the overnight hours the clouds will begin to break apart, and our overnight lows will fall into the middle 30s.

Saturday our skies will become partly sunny, and it will be a seasonable day with highs ranging from 50 to 55.

Sunday will also feature partly sunny skies with highs in the middle 50s.

A cold front will approach the region on Monday, and this will bring us the risk of clouds and showers early in the day but as that front clears around the lunch hour our skies will quickly become partly sunny, and it will turn very windy. Our high temperatures will peak at nearly 65.

The cold air behind that cold front will be delayed until Monday night and we will have clear skies with lows in the upper 20s.

Tuesday will be a chilly day with highs in the upper 30s.

Wednesday, which is New Year's Eve will feature mostly sunny skies, and it will remain chilly for this time of year with highs in the lower 40s.

We should have clear skies as you ring in the New Year Wednesday night with temperatures around freezing.

Partly sunny skies will be with us for the first day of 2026 with highs only in the lower 40s.

Another round of chilly temperatures will be with us for next Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper 30s under sunny to partly sunny skies.
