StormTracker8: Great weather Tuesday; Coastal system Wednesday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – We will see mainly clear skies for this evening and tonight and it will be comfortable with lows near 55 across Metro Richmond which means many areas to the west and northwest will drop back to around 50.

Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies, and it will be very mild with highs in the upper 70s.

Some extra clouds will slide in later Tuesday night and Wednesday will start off partly sunny for areas along and west of I-95 however along in east of I-95 there will be more in the way of clouds and even some coastal showers. We will stay with partly sunny skies west of 95 throughout the day and mostly cloudy skies east of 95 during the day with that risk of some pop-up coastal showers thanks to a stationary front that will draw in some moisture right along the coast. Due to the extra cloud cover most of us will be cool as our high temperatures only climb between 70 and 75.

That front will slide to the East and allow mostly sunny skies to return for Thursday with highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend, beginning Friday through Saturday and Sunday, we should see mostly sunny skies with highs around 80.

As our attention turns to next week another weak weather system will drop in on Monday allowing for partly sunny skies in the morning to fade behind a couple of clouds and there could be a couple of showers later in the afternoon. Our high temperatures will top out around 80.

Tuesday will be a little bit of a better day with partly sunny skies and highs around 80.
