StormTracker8: Rain develops Thursday
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- We will see mostly cloudy skies for this evening and tonight and it will be a chilly night with lows in the middle 30s.
Thursday will feature plenty of clouds with the risk of showers developing during the afternoon and evening. It will be another mile day with highs approaching 60.
Steady rain is likely for 30 Thursday night and it will be mild with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Any showers will come to an end early Friday morning and partly sunny skies will develop during the day, and it will remain seasonably mild with highs in the middle to upper 50s.
Saturday will be a sunny day but a bit cooler with highs around 50.
Sunday is the first day of winter as it officially begins at 10:03 in the morning and we should see partly sunny skies with highs near 55.
A weak cold front will pass by Sunday night and that will cool us down for Monday as we will see highs in the middle of 40s under a mixture of sun and clouds.
Tuesday will feature mostly cloudy skies with highs around 50.
Looking ahead to Christmas Eve and Christmas day, a weak weather system will approach the region and that will bring us more clouds and the risk of showers for Christmas Eve with highs near 55.
Right now, that system should move out in time for Christmas day, allowing us to have plenty of clouds with highs again in the middle 50s.
