StormTracker8: Showers Today & Tomorrow; Washout Sunday

Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Visibility is extremely poor this morning, so please use low beam headlights and slow down.

Showers are possible through noon. Coverage will be lower than yesterday.

After noon, skies will clear, and we'll see some sun through the evening hours. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s. Tonight, clouds will increase and lows will be in the mid 40s.

Spotty showers are possible on Saturday, but most of us will stay dry. Skies will stay cloudy and highs will be near 60°.

Sunday morning, our next rain maker will arrive. This system could bring up to an inch of rain through the afternoon hours. As the system continues off the coast, colder air will be drawn in from the north. This will bring us some snow/rain mix for Sunday evening, and the possibility of snow only for Sunday night into the early hours of Monday morning.

We could see some snow accumulation, but with temperatures above freezing for much of the day Sunday and rain on the ground, it may take longer for snow to accumulate. It is likely to accumulate the fastest on grass and decks and sidewalks. Roads are likely to have no issues Monday morning.

We will be cooler for the start of next week. Our next rain chances will be next Thursday.
