StormTracker8: Warm Weather before Wednesday Cold Front

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – This morning will start cool, but we will warm quickly to the low 80s this afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny. Despite these conditions being warmer than normal, it will be a very beautiful day to be outside.

Overnight lows are back into the upper 50s. Tomorrow, highs will be near 80° once again. Clouds will increase throughout the afternoon as a cold front approaches.

Rain will begin Tuesday night and rain chances will increase going into Wednesday. The best chance for rain will be early morning through midday Wednesday. Skies will clear through the day and will stay mostly clear Wednesday night through Friday.

Temperatures will drop overnight Wednesday into the 40s. Highs for the end of the week are expected to remain in the 60s.

This weekend, we will be monitoring another coastal weather system that could bring rain, mainly east of I-95. There remains a lot of uncertainty this far out into the forecast, so as we near the end of the week we will better understand how far inland we can expect rain.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: We are monitoring one area in the Atlantic with a high chance to develop into our next named storm. Models keep this storm in the Atlantic, well away from the U.S.
