StormTracker8: Winter Weather is Here
Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Cold weather is being ushered in today, so temperatures will drop through the morning. We will plateau in the 30s and stay there all afternoon. Skies will be sunny. Winds today will gust near 25mph. Factoring that in with the cold temperatures will bring us wind chill values in the 20s for much of the day. Bring the cold weather gear for when the kids are off school and you get off work!
Tonight will be cold. Lows will be in the teens Friday morning, and near 40° for the afternoon.
Inauguration day will be warmer, with highs near 50°. Skies will be cloudy and there is a chance for a stray shower or two. We have another cold front that will usher in more cold air.
We are now watching Sunday for our next possibility of snow. Models are still uncertain regarding how close this weather system will pass to the coast, which will help determine where we see the heaviest snowfall and if some folks deal with a snow-to-sleet transition. Keep a close eye on the weekend here with us.

MLK Day will be cold, with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. We are looking to stay cold all next week.
