Survey open for public input on potential Midlothian Turnpike improvements
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A survey is available for people to provide public input on potential improvements along Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield.
The survey is part of a study that will evaluate potential safety improvements at the intersection of U.S. Route 60 (Midlothian Turnpike) and Woolridge Road/Old Buckingham Road.
The study will factor in traffic and crash analysis, build conditions, field review and traffic forecasting, per the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) website.
Environmental Impact Statement to be conducted for Powhite Parkway Project
The Woolridge Road/Old Buckingham Road intersection has placed high on Richmond District's potential for safety improvement rankings, as Midlothian Turnpike is also part of VDOT's Arterial Preservation Network.
The study area also includes the intersection of Woolridge Road at Walton Park Road/Coalfield Station Lane.
The survey will be available until Jan. 9 and can be found by clicking here. The study is expected to finish by spring 2026.
