Teen edition of musical ‘Hadestown’ to be staged at Dominion Energy Center

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A teen edition of the musical "Hadestown" is coming to the Dominion Energy Center this summer.

A full-length teen edition of "Hadestown" by Anaïs Mitchell will be staged at the Dominion Energy Center, with six performances running from July 2 through July 6. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9.

According to organizers, this production is a jazz-inspired musical blending folk and opera, telling the story of Orpheus’s journey through the underworld to rescue his love, Eurydice.

"Hadestown: Teen Edition" reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in a setting shaped by themes of industrialization and chaos.
