Tractor-trailer crash in Albemarle County leaves corn debris in the roadway

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Albemarle County Police Department and Fire Rescue responded to a tractor-trailer crash Wednesday morning that left corn debris across the roadway.

At around 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, the police department and the fire department responded to a tractor-trailer crash at the 9000 block of Rock Fish Gap Turnpike.

There was no impact on the travel lane, however, the crash resulted in corn debris in the road.

Police said drivers should be mindful that the corn in the roadway may attract wildlife to the area -- drive with caution and look out for animals trying to cross the road.
