Two crashes on I-64 eastbound in New Kent caused delays

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two crashes on Interstate 64 eastbound in New Kent County caused delays for drivers.

The crashes were first reported on the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) just before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, and are located on I-64 eastbound.

The right shoulders were closed near Bottoms Bridge at mile markers 209.2 and 205.4 near the Route 249 exit due to two separate multi-vehicle crashes. 

The crashes caused five miles of delays.
