Two displaced after Chesterfield fire destroys home

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two Chesterfield County residents are displaced after a fire destroyed their home on Saturday morning.

At around 6:52 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, crews with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were called to a home in the 11800 block of Longtown Drive for a report of a structure fire.

When they arrived, firefighters found the home with heavy fire coming out of the roof.

Crews put the fire out in about 40 minutes, according to fire officials. There are no reported injuries.

Officials said that two neighboring homes also suffered siding damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
