Two drivers with serious injuries after a tractor-trailer crash on I-95 in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two drivers have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a tractor-trailer crashed into both vehicles on Interstate 95 in Prince George County on Saturday.

Just before 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, Virginia State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at the 37-mile mark, near the Route 623 exit.

Police said an initial investigation into the crash reveals that a sedan was parked on the right shoulder, and a second sedan was stopped in the right lane when a tractor-trailer hit both vehicles.

According to state police, both drivers of the sedans were taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries, but "both are expected to survive."

The crash remains under investigation, and charges are still pending, according to state police.
