Two men sentenced after pleading guilty to the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old in Henrico County
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two of the three suspects charged in connection to the deadly shooting of 18-year-old Aidan Cameron in Henrico County back in February 2024 pleaded guilty and were sentenced last month.
Travis Lamar Paige, Jr., pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery in Henrico Circuit Court on Feb. 25, 2025. For the murder charge, he was sentenced to 40 years with 30 years suspended and will have five years of supervised probation upon release. For the armed robbery charge, he was sentenced to 10 years with five years suspended and five years of supervised probation upon release.
Jaiden Akiva-Nadir Fowlkes also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery on Feb. 25, 2025. He was sentenced to 40 years with 20 years suspended for the murder charge -- with five years of supervised probation upon release. For the armed robbery charge, he was sentenced to 20 years with 18 years suspended and a probation of five years upon release.
Around midnight, in the early hours of Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the 1600 block of Lakeside Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Cameron lying in a yard behind an apartment building with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.
On March 4, 2024, Diamond Chishell Henley and Fowlkes were arrested in connection with the shooting. Nearly two weeks later, Paige was the third suspect arrested.
Henley is still awaiting trial with a status hearing scheduled for Thursday, April 3.
