RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) --Kyron Drones led Virginia Tech to a 21-6 win over Georgia Tech, throwing, rushing, and catching a touchdown. He accounted for 132 total yards as the Hokies finished with 233 yards of offense and secured their third straight victory. Georgia Tech, missing injured quarterback Haynes King, struggled on offense. Zach Pyron started at quarterback, completing 10 of 22 passes for 76 yards before being replaced by freshman Aaron Philo, who threw for 184 yards and an interception. Drones threw a 20-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, caught a 6-yard touchdown, and ran for a 1-yard score in the third quarter. He finished with 128 passing yards and 6 rushing yards.
