The schedule is as follows:
- March 2: Elizabeth Holladay Elementary, Henrico County Public Schools
- March 3: Frances W. McClenney Elementary, Richmond Public Schools

"Feel free to bring a favorite book from home or select one from the school’s library," organizers said. "To support all grade levels, we kindly ask volunteers to choose from a variety of PreK–5 titles."
If you'd like to volunteer, you can do so online. The deadline is Feb. 27.
"With your help, we can encourage children to read and to promote the love of reading," organizers said. "Let's build a nation of readers together!"
"Read Across America 2026" is made possible through a partnership with the Virginia Education Association Department of Equity, Justice and Learning.
