Warm up for arm wrestling competition in Mechanicsville

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- It's time to warm up and do those bicep curls ahead of the arm wrestling competition taking place in Mechanicsville on Saturday afternoon for both professionals and amateurs.

The Virginia Arm Wrestling League is hosting "VAL: War 2025," starting at noon on Saturday, May 17, and will be located at 7514 Lee-Davis Road.

The super matches will begin at noon, with early weigh-in scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

This year, Devon Larratt will appear at the tournament. Larratt is a Canadian arm wrestler, considered one of the most popular arm wrestlers of all time.

The event will be sponsored by General Richmond Contracting Company, BNW Builders.

The league frequently hosts tournaments and aims to be the arm wrestling hub of the southeastern region of the U.S, and advises guests to bring cash for registration and merchandise and fold-out chairs, according to the league's social post.
