WATCH: Fire causes serious damage to Henrico hotel

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A large fire burned through a hotel in the Short Pump area of Henrico County on Tuesday, doing significant damage from the ground floor to the fifth floor.
The evening of Tuesday, Feb. 4, firefighters with the Henrico County Division of Fire were called to the Wingate by Wyndham Richmond Short Pump for report of a fire.
When they arrived, firefighters found heavy fire on the outside of the building. 8News spoke to the battalion chief on duty, who said the flames were burning from the ground floor up to the fifth floor.

As of about 10 p.m., the fire has been put out and fire crews are actively working to ventilate the hotel, as smoke got inside.
The battalion chief added that one room has water damage due to a sprinkler being triggered, but the sprinkler system has since been isolated.
Chesterfield sports bar damaged by discarded cigarette
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
