Watch robots battle it out at ‘Mayday Mayhem’ in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- "Mayday Mayhem" is coming to Richmond on Saturday, with sparks guaranteed to fly as robots clash in the arena.

This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 24 at Coastal Church - Bethany Place, located at 1501 S. Providence Road. Spectators get in free, with no tickets required.

There will be multiple arenas showcasing "thrilling robot combat," per organizers, including a 6-by-6 feet antweight arena and a 4-by-4 feet fairyweight arena.

Matches will kick off at 11 a.m. and run until about 6 p.m., "with the most action-packed battles [happening] early on," organizers said.
