Where can I get free bottled water in Hanover?
UPDATE: County officials announced that water distribution sites will run out of bottled water by 5 p.m. rather than 7 p.m. as planned. HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County residents impacted by the active boil water advisory can get free bottled water at two sites in the county on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Hanover officials issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses east of Interstate 95, excluding the Doswell area. This comes after a power outage caused a malfunction of the Richmond city reservoir system -- an incident that sent shockwaves through both the city itself and Hanover, Henrico and Chesterfield counties. If you are under this advisory, you are asked not to use tap water without boiling it, as it could pose a risk to your health.
