Woman dead after being hit by vehicle in Henrico County

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is dead after police said she was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Broad Street and John Rolfe Parkway in Henrico County Friday morning.

At 4:53 a.m. on Friday, June 6, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the intersection of Broad Street and John Rolfe Parkway for the report of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.

When officers arrived, police said they found a woman with obvious signs of trauma, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials continue to investigate. Officials said eastbound Broad Street at John Rolfe Pkwy will be closed until the investigation is complete.
