The award-winning hops and harvest festival will feature more than 20 Virginia craft breweries, live music, food trucks and a marketplace. Proceeds benefit the Henricus Foundation's Children's Education Fund, which funds programs and field trips for area children. "Students, when they visit Henricus Historical Park, learn about life among English colonists and Powhatan Indians in the early 17th century in Virginia," Henricus Foundation Executive Director Charlie Grant told 8News. "It's all done through living history, the kids are able to see, feel, do the things that were done 400 years ago. I like to say the kids learn more in an hour than they do in a textbook."
