RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was shot near Hotchkiss Park in Richmond's Northside on Sunday. Just before noon on Sunday, Nov. 29, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the intersection of East Brookland Park Boulevard and Letcher Avenue for report of a person shot. When they arrived, officers found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. According to police, the shooting itself took place in the 3000 block of Alpine Avenue. This stretch of road is just north of Hotchkiss Park.
