2 people hurt in double shooting in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people are hurt after a double shooting in Petersburg on Thursday.

Just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, the Petersburg Bureau of Police said there is a police presence in the 100 block of Perry Street and the 1500 block of Rome Street due to an ongoing shooting investigation.

While details are limited at this time, police said two people have been shot.

Their injuries are not considered life-threatening and they are receiving treatment.
