20-year-old woman identified in Jennie Scher Road shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The victim in Saturday night's shooting on Jennie Scher Road has been identified by Richmond Police Department.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, officers received a call reporting a person shot at the 1300 block of Jennie Scher Road.

According to police, when officers arrived, they discovered an adult female inside of the apartment down with gunshot wounds.

Police identified 20-year-old Jaelyn Barham-Wooden of Dinwiddie as the victim. She was taken to a local hospital where she died due to her injuries.
