21-year-old man charged after shots fired in Albemarle County
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Albemarle County Police Department have arrested a 21-year-old man on multiple charges after a reported shooting on early Saturday morning.
On Saturday, Feb. 7, at around 1:10 a.m., the Albemarle County Police Department responded to the 3400 block of Berkmar Drive for reports of shots fired.
Once on the scene, officers found multiple shell casings and a victim with a gunshot wound who was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Albemarle County Police Department announced that 21-year-old Daquan J. Ravenel of Charlottesville has been charged with two charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and reckless handling of a firearm.
Ravenel is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
