25th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival: Vendors, spirits and more

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Monday to talk about the upcoming 25th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival happening this weekend.

8News anchor Autumn Childress was joined by Beau Beasley, director of the Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival, to talk about what people can expect.

"A lot of people are interested in fly fishing, but they're a little intimidated," Beasley said. "And we just make this easy for people to come to and take the sport as they like it, and then if they want to try some wine or they want to try some Virginia distilled spirits they can."

People can head to Meadow Event Park, located at 13191 Dawn Blvd, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, to peruse over 100 vendors.

"Anyone can come, at any level, and we let you take the event at any pace that you like," Beasley said.
