3 drivers hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash on I-95, delays in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people were reportedly hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 on Friday. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported major delays in Chesterfield County as a result.

The crash was first reported by VDOT around 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 19 and is located on I-95 North near Willis Road.

A Virginia State Police spokesperson told 8News three vehicles were involved in the crash.

According to police, all three drivers were taken to Chippenham Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

According to VDOT, all north lanes have been closed and, as of 12:45 p.m., traffic was backed up approximately 5 miles.
