35-year-old charged after man shot in Albemarle

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 35-year-old man has been charged in connection to a shooting that left one man hospitalized Sunday afternoon.
According to the Albemarle County Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Doyles Side Lane at around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 for the reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening condition, authorities said.
As part of the investigation, 35-year-old Roger L. Lamb has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Lamb is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
